Kanban is a visual workflow management method that helps teams optimize their processes by visualizing tasks, tracking progress, and limiting work in progress. It promotes efficiency and flexibility, allowing teams to quickly adapt to changing priorities and demands. By using Kanban, organizations can improve communication, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance overall productivity.
Your resources board should now be converted into a Kanban board.
Inside the no-code app editor, almost any resource can be sent to a Kanban board, or Saved Resources board.
💥 The platform will atomatically send a resource to the Kanban board or Saved Resources board when this option is enabled.
✨ Examples of resources which can be automatically sent to Kanban or Saved Resources boards include files, emails, fetched DB data, new data form records, etc.
⭐️ For example, when a new customer order comes in through a business app, it can instantly appear as a data card on the sales department's Kanban or Saved Resources board!
You can remove a resource card by selecting the option in the card menu that allows you to delete it from the board.
Your Kanban board can be associated with a specific data input form, which is helpful if you anticipate using that form frequently. This feature links the add button in each Kanban section to the designated data input form, so when users click the button, an empty form will pop up. Upon saving the form, the system will automatically add it to your Kanban board.
To add a data form, click the edit button on the Kanban board and select the following option:
You will see a list of forms, allowing you to select a specific one.
Once you enable this option, you can start using the plus button that will appear at the top of each Kanban section:
When the plus button is clicked, the system will open the linked data input form.
If you name two or more sections with weekday names (e.g., Monday, Tuesday), the system will automatically add the corresponding dates for the week to the section names.
✨ You can set up cards to vanish automatically based on specific conditions in your data input forms. Just define the condition, and the Kanban board will keep an eye on the data record's status. When the condition is met, the card will disappear from the Kanban board automatically.
In order to use this feature, make sure you have already configured your Kanban board to use a form; refer to the previous sections for guidance on how to do this.
To enable cards to disappear automatically, click the following option in the board editor:
Anything you save now will be set as a trigger to remove the card from Kanban.
For example, in the scenario below, whenever the form is saved with the specified data, the card will be automatically removed from the Kanban board.
You can connect a field from a data input form to the Kanban section title. When you move a card between sections, Kanban will automatically update the selected field with the title of the current section.
In order to use this feature, make sure you have already configured your Kanban board to use a form; refer to the previous sections for guidance on how to do this.
